The big kids have gone back to school, so little sisters and brothers can start their fall activities, too.
At Whitehall Township Public Library, toddlers and preschool youngsters are welcome to enroll for an age appropriate Story Time series. Each session includes not only exciting listening experiences with Lorraine Santaliz and Diane Case but also participation in songs, finger plays and story-related craft projects.
Each program is intended to involve children in the process of reading readiness.
Registration has begun. The online sign-up is easy and will look very familiar to those parents whose children have been participating in summer reading programs for the last few years.
Start at the library's website, www.whitehallpl.org, and click on "Kids and Teens" on the left hand menu. Select the series that's right for your child.
For those who prefer, registration can be as simple as a phone call to 610-432-4339, where a library staff member will assist with the process.
The following sessions are available for limited enrollment, so don't wait too long to sign up the child (ren) in your life:
· Toddler (18-36 months) meets Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. through Nov. 8. An adult must stay with the child (ren).
· Preschool (3-6 years) meets Tuesdays at 10 a.m. through Nov. 13 or Wednesdays at 1 or 7 p.m. through Nov. 14.
