Paul K. Lauchnor, 97, formerly of Neffs, died Oct. 9, 2012, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, where he resided.

He was the husband of the late Martha S. (Hensinger) Lauchnor.

Born May 3, 1915, in Washington Township, he was the son of the late Edwin A. and Cora (Kern) Lauchnor.

He was a self-employed farmer in Washington Township for 55 years before retiring.

A road supervisor for Washington Township, he was active in the life of his church and community.

He was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, where he formerly served on the council.

In addition, he was a member of Slatington Lodge 440, F.&A.M., Lehigh Consistory and the Rajah Shrine, Reading, a former member of the Upper Lehigh Lions Club, Schnecksville, and the Slatington School Board.

He enjoyed traveling to Atlantic City where he could be found in the casino.

His survivors include children, Paul R. of Allentown, Sally A. Mantz and her husband, Roger, of Slatedale; grandsons Brock and Shawn Mantz; and great-grandchildren Colton and Heidi.

He was predeceased by a son Thomas H.
