Trunk or Treat will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 6:30-8 pm at Bethany Wesleyan Church.

Children up until fifth-grade are invited to join the fun going from display to display gathering treats. The displays will be decorated according to the theme Blast from the Past. Children are asked to stick with the theme and dress in a related costume. Please, no scary costumes.

A Halloween dinner and dance will be held at the Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and dinner is served from 7-8 p.m. with dancing from 8 p.m. until midnight. Halloween costumes are optional and you must be 21 to enter.

With all of the signs of the holiday approaching, the Lehigh Township Historical Society announces two dates for a holiday open house in December.

On Dec. 2 and 9, from 1-4 p.m., the historical centre will be open for visitors and shoppers.

Many unique items are available for purchase for gift giving. These include maps, ornaments, shirts, a DVD and books.

This weekend, on Oct. 21, the society will have an exhibit at the Walnutport Canal Festival. Many of the items available for purchase will be shown there.

Two free educational programs are scheduled for Jan. 28 and Feb. 25 at Hope Lutheran Church. More details will follow.

You are always welcome to join the historical society at regular monthly meetings the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. or by helping with special activities and programs.
