Alfred F. Barone Jr., 84, of Schnecksville, and Winter Haven, Fla., died Oct. 12, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of Ida (Latsch) Follweiler Barone and the late Grace I. (Kleppinger) Barone.

Born Oct. 28, 1927, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Rose (Kopfer) Villa and Alfred F. Barone Sr.

During World War II, he served in the Merchant Marines.

He was employed at Mack Trucks Inc., Macungie, for 25 years before retiring in 1987.

He attended Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall.

In addition to his wife, Ida, to whom he was married 25 years, he is survived by daughters Dona M. Wilson of Northampton, Beverly A. Barone, of Whitehall; stepdaughters Kathryn A. Berdy and Nancy J. Follweiler, both of Allentown, Janet Kuhns of Orefield; sister Anna Burcovsky of Whitehall; grandson Ryan C. Fogarty; five step-grandchildren; and nine step-great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a grandson Shawn M. Fogarty and a brother Robert A. Barone Sr.
