William A. Ney, 53, of Macungie, died October 10, 2012, in his home. He was the husband of Audrey J. (Hewel) Ney. The couple celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary Oct. 9. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of Gladys M. (Martin) Ney of Harrisburg and the late William M. Ney.

In 1981, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He graduated with a Master of Science in management from MIT in 1986. He was employed at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in Trexlertown since 1986. Prior to that, he worked for Exxon Research & Engineering in Florham Park, N.J.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem.

He is survived by his wife; mother; son, Paul W. at home; brother, Kirk W. of Harrisburg.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, 2344 Center St., Bethlehem. A visitation period will take place one hour prior to the service in the church parlor. The Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
