Blase J. Pierog, 75, of Emmaus, died Oct. 13, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Snyder) Pierog for the past 58 years. Born in Emmaus, he was a son of the late Felix J. and Pauline A. (Matura) Pierog.

He was employed as a laborer in the construction industry until retiring.

He was an active member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Gregory and Christopher and his wife Susan; daughter, Georgette and her husband Scott Blyler; brother, Philip and his wife Theresa; sister, Rita Strouse; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Lucas; brothers, Peter, Fabian and Raphael.

Services will be held 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow 11 a.m. in the church. A viewing will be held 9 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
