STATE THEATRE, EASTON, is seeking evaluators for the FREDDY&Copy; awards program. Evaluators will be expected to attend at least 14 shows during the season and must submit evaluation forms and nomination recommendations in 21 performance and production categories (i.e., outstanding performance by an actor/ actress in a leading role, outstanding use of scenery). Nominations are announced in early May and followed in late May with a Tony Awards style ceremony is held at the State Theatre where nominees perform and award recipients are announced and presented with a FREDDY&Copy; award. The ceremony is 7 p.m. May 23, 2013. D & L NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR, is seeking volunteers for the Delaware & Lehigh Heritage Marathon and Half-Marathon Nov. 4. The races are run on 26 miles of the D&L Trail between Northampton and Lehigh Gap. Individuals, families, clubs, school groups, sports teams and Scouts are welcome to volunteer.
