Marvin T. "Dutch" Eckhart, 75, of Salisbury Township, died October 7, 2012, in Manorcare, Allentown. He was the husband of Janice J. (Fischer) Eckhart, for 52 years. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Malhon and Dorothy (Schmick) Eckhart.

He honorably served his country with the U.S. Navy, while serving on the USS Kitty Hawk.

He was a plumber for many years and a "Jack of All Trades."

He was a volunteer fireman for 10 years at Emmaus Fire Co., life member of Salisbury Fire Co. and was past vice president of Salisbury Youth Association. He was also a member of the American Legion, and attended Jerusalem Eastern Salisbury Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, golfing and camping. He was an avid bowler and an IronPigs, Phillies, Oakland Raiders, and Dale Earnhardt fan.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Glenn and Daryl L. both of Salisbury Township; granddaughters, Maggie, Autumn and Danika.

Services will be held 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, where the family will receive relatives and friends 6 to 8 p.m.
