To the Editor:

As a recent high school graduate, I'm told to prepare for my future: study hard, find an internship, make connections and pursue your dreams. This isn't always easy, especially in a world where so many look out for only themselves. I've been fortunate, however, to meet Ryan Mackenzie.

We hear about Ryan's work to reform government and help constituents, but these only begin to show the kind of person we have as our state representative.

Ryan is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise partisan and selfish political world. He is a genuine person who values the success of each person in the community. Ryan has been an excellent role model for me a student interested in politics. He has selflessly taken the time to show me firsthand the functions of the government and the campaign trail and he continually encourages me to maximize my potential. He additionally takes time to ask about me and my family.

Ryan Mackenzie is a great state representative not simply for the things that he does for us, but for the person that he is. We are fortunate to have him representing us and we need to re-elect him in November.
