Dale James Geist, 61, died September 20, 2012, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was the husband of Sandra Geist for 39 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Fred H. Geist and Edith Law Geist.

He was a 1969 graduate of William Allen High School.

He worked for Mack Trucks for 34 years and was a member of the local UAW 677. After retirement he was an employee at Rodale's Working Tree Center for six years.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.

He coached for his daughter's youth sports teams and rarely missed the opportunity to watch and assist at horse shows and triathlons.

He was a Philly sports fan and played slow pitch softball for the Roaches.

Some of his happiest times were spent traveling with his wife.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Danielle and Jessica and her husband Joel Nankman; sisters, Arlene wife of the late Ernest Lohrman, Adele and her husband Tom Meyers, Carol and her husband Dennis Barthol; brothers, Fred and his wife Rita, William and his wife Virginia. He was predeceased by brothers, Earl, Leroy and Norman.

A celebration of his life was held at the Allen Township Fire Company.
