Lehigh Township column
Sunday, Oct. 14, is your last chance to visit the Lehigh Township Historical Centre, located at Indian Trail Park, Route 248, Pennsville.
The Centre will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. for self-guided tours.
The exhibits showcase the society's unique collection of memorabilia which includes items from the slate industry, Dieter's Foundry, farm tools and much more.
Anyone interested in visiting the historical centre after Oct. 14 may call 610-767-5989 for an appointment.
St. Paul's Schoolhouse is also open by appointment.

The next open house will be the holiday open house; dates and times to be announced.

The monthly meeting of the Indianland Garden Club will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Hope Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 7 p.m.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Linda Kortz will conduct a Fall Wall Hanging Workshop.
Members may bring dried flowers, seed pods and glue guns to make the wreaths.
Members may bring the following specimens: chrysanthemum, spider, spoon, sedum, cosmos, dahlia, aster, berried shrub, evergreen and vines.
Also included are five different leaves, which are labeled on display. Arrangements include Pot of Gold, a mass arrangement; Chill in the Air, a vertical arrangement; and Forest Finds, your own interpretation.
Officers for 2013 will be elected.
