District 11 Football Notes: Week 4 Quarterbacks continue to put up the yardage

Editor's Note: These are week 4 notes from the high school football season. The notes are provided by District 11 statistician Duke Helm.

Pocono Mountain West QB Jeff Krisiak threw his 10th TD pass of the season and 30th of his career in a loss to Stroudsburg.

Brandon Leap of Pleasant Valley threw another 4 TDs against Lehighton and has 10 for the season.

Freedom's Brian Uliana went over 2,000 yards passing for his career.

Northampton's junior QB Nick Cook threw for over 200 yards for the fourth time this season and leads Krisiak by three yards for the area lead (970 to 967). Cook's teammate Kyle George now has 21 catches for 527 yards and 5 TD catches to be among the top players in the state. George's 542 yards already puts him in fifth place all-time at Northampton for a single season, just ahead of Tommy Rohn's second personal best of 535 yards he had in 1999.

Colin McDermott of Central Catholic now has 3,649 yards rushing in his career, breaking Brendon Nosovitch's school record of 3,628 yards that he set last year. McDermott accumulated his yardage total on 594 carries (school record) while Nosovitch's total came on 575 carries.

Wilson's Trey Robinson went over 2,000 yards rushing for his career and scored his 30th TD against Pen Argyl.

Catasauqua's junior tailback Ra'Von Burton joins the chart with 1,123 yards and 15 career TDs.

Wilson's Zach Bogoly caught 7 passes for 154 yards and two TDs against Pen Argyl to put him in seventh place all-time at Wilson. Bogoly now has 1,119 career yards.

Liberty currently has three former players starting at wide receiver in Division 1 or the FCS. They are: Joey Orlando of New Hampshire (22 rec for 241 yards and 4 TDs), Devin Street of Pitt (18 rec for 275 yards and 2 TDs) and Jarrod West of Syracuse (18 rec for 277 yards and 1 TD).

Week 4 Trivia

Name the only District 11 team not to have a recorded single game 200 yard rusher in their history.

Week 3 Trivia

Kier Williams of Liberty holds the school record for career TD catches with 17. Joe Donaher (1967) and Williams both had 11 TD catches in a season.

Jarrod West had 12 TD catches in 2009 and 12 total for his career.
