Charles D. Kester

Charles D. Kester, 68, of Kempton, died Sept. 28, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late James and Dorothy (Weinstine) Kester.

He was a machine operator for the former A&B Meats and Beth-Allen Aluminum, Allentown.

He honorably served his country in the National Guard and U.S. Army during Vietnam and was stationed in Korea.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

His survivors include daughters Jane S. Lukowicz, at home, Denise V. Kester, wife of J. Michael Strick of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren Cody D. Rohrbach and Kady L. Lukowicz; and former wife, Joann, wife of David Lewis of Kempton.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Lori W. Grant in 2007, a brother Kenneth J. and a sister Ann L. Hess.

Services will be 10 a.m. Oct. 4, at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville, with David Rohrbach officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10 a.m. Interment at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
