Motorists in cars, SUVs and pickup trucks crossing the Pine Street Bridge from West Catasauqua, Whitehall Township, to Catasauqua will now experience an aura of nostalgia, back to the 30s and 40s. Repairs and painting were recently done to the steel grate bridge deck along with replacing the light poles and fixtures. The final phase of the bridge restoration project will include energizing the lights. The bridge, owned by Lehigh County, has not undergone any major improvements for decades.
