Jean Romayne Roma, 80, of Allentown, died Sept. 22, 2012, in her home.

She and her husband, Thomas Roma, celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary last Oct. 23.

Born Dec. 24, 1931, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert T. Sr. and Minnie A. (Stevens) Brotzman.

She was an active volunteer for Girl Scouts of America from 1957-82, a former volunteer for the Adult Literacy Council for two years, where she taught reading, and a former volunteer in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Gift Shop from 2007-12.

She enjoyed participating in a neighborhood bridge club for the last 47 years.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by children Mary K. Roma and her husband, Peter D'Arista of California, Md., Stephen T. Roma of Fogelsville, and Elizabeth A. Roma of Orefield; brother Wilbert T. Jr. and his wife, Joyce, of Allentown; and grandchildren Carolina, Thomas, Taylor, Tara, Makayla and Abigail.
