Terry E. Kline, 75, of Weeki Wachee, Fla., formerly of Allentown and East Greenville, died Sept. 12, 2012, at home under the loving care of his wife, Carolyn (Frey) Kline. He was the son of the late Edna P. Kline Sicher Flexer.

He graduated from Emmaus High School, class of 1955, where he honed his baseball and basketball skills.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

His baseball career started out by trying out for the Philadelphia Phillies and continued to play fast pitch softball with the Allentown Patriots and several other local ASA teams. In 1976 he played in the ASA National Tournament with the Allentown Patriots. He was a 2009 inductee into the East Penn Fast Pitch Hall of Fame.

He worked for Mack Trucks for 28 years, followed by 12 years with ETI Company. He enjoyed many years of camaraderie and golf in the Mack Macungie Golf League.

He is survived by his wife; sons, David M. and his wife Mary K. of Walnutport and Scott A. of Little Gap; daughter, Tracy L. and her husband William Synowsky of Acworth, Ga.; sister, Fay Helfrich of Emmaus; half brothers, Donald Sicher of Atlanta, Ga. and Dennis Sicher of Macungie; stepson, Adam Smith of Raleigh, N.C.; stepdaughter, Audrey and her husband Bob Fischer of Va.; grandchildren, Tori and Dayna Kline of Northampton and Abby and Ian Synowsky; stepgrandchildren, Melanie S. Reeder, Paul R. Fischer, Jake, Noble and Lucas Keyser; stepgreat-grandson, Brayden Keyser; nephews, Mike Schantzenbach and Ryan Sicher; nieces, Cindy Ruhf, Lynn Knauss, Raquel Isenhart, Zanthia Albrecht, as well as five other nephews and a niece.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Wounded Warrior Project.

A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 at the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Visitation 4 to 5 p.m. in the funeral home.
