Pauline (Lentz) Herring, 85, of Allentown, died September 24, 2012, in Manor Care, Allentown. She was the wife of Sherwood C. Herring. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in March 2012. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Frederick P. and Helen (Kline) Lentz.

She was a 1945 graduate of Allentown High School.

She worked for Bell Telephone, as a cashier for the former Almart and Leh's Department Store.

She was vice president of Sherwood Herring Signs, Emmaus, retiring in 1998.

She was a member of Emmaus Moravian Church and sang with the choir. She was a member of Zion Choral Society for 20 years.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Cynthia and her husband John Siwy of Estero, Fla., Sherry and her husband Rev. Jeffery Gehris of Nazareth and Claudia and her husband Bobby Siegfried of Allentown; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Douglas.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing noon to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
