Nathan A. Burkit, 52, of Zions-ville, died September 22, 2012, in St. Luke's University Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Jacksonville, Fla., he was the son of William and Katie (Aides) Burkit of Fountain Hill.

He graduated from Liberty High School, Class of 1977, as well as achieving undergraduate credits throughout his career in secondary education. After graduation, he became an entrepreneur with his own construction company for 20 plus years. Later, he became a teacher for Middle Bucks Institute of Technology, where he taught three levels of carpentry.

He was an outdoorsman and avid hunter. He was ranked as a high master marksman and had been on the board of trustees at Guthsville Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid car enthusiast.

He is survived by his parents; fiance, Lori Coles; sons, Matthew of Zionsville and William of Coopersburg; brother, Mark and his wife Lynn of Danielsville. He was predeceased by a brother Edward in 2009.

The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 in the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill.
