Donna Jean (Kolbush) Jackson, 45, of Zionsville, died Sept. 28, 2012, after a long illness in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the wife of Bruce Jackson. Born in McAdoo, she was the daughter of the late Carl Kolbush Jr. and Kathy Kolbush.

She graduated from St. Francis de Sales University in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in nursing and was regarded by her colleagues and friends as a highly compassionate and competent professional.

She tenaciously battled her diagnosis of cancer in 2004 with courage, positivism and commitment to live as long as possible to raise her child.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Bridgette Fay; mother; brothers, Carl and his wife Donna of McAdoo, James and his wife Joanne of McAdoo; sisters, Cynthia Miller of Tresckow, and Lisa and her huband Dave Houser of Marietta; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; a great-niece; sisters and brothers-in-law.

Contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in commemoration of her life.
