Paul F. Snyder, 83, from Orefield, died on Sept. 15, 2012, in Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Coopersburg.
He and his wife, Ruth I. (German) Snyder, celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary last June 23.
Born March 20, 1929, in Lowhill Township, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Ida S. (Schaffer) Snyder.
He was a machine operator at the former Trojan Powder Co., South Whitehall Township, for 30 years before retiring in 1991.
Prior to that, he worked for the Lehigh Valley Dairy and was a farmer in the Lowhill Township area.
He was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church, New Tripoli.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by son, Dennis P. and his wife, Kathleen, of Orefield; sisters Elsie Gruber and her husband, George, of Orefield, Jennie Dengler and her husband, Raymond, of Trexlertown; grandchildren, Dena, Timothy and Kimberly; and great-grandsons, Jacob and Nathan.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Sept. 20, in Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Raymond J. Hand officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service at Weisenberg Lutheran Church Cemetery.
