South Parkland Black 125s came back from eight-point deficit in the final four minutes of the fourth quarter to defeat the Lower Macungie Mustangs.
Harper Puckett was deadly all night going 7-for-10 and 152 yards passing with two touchdown strikes. Puckett twice found Braxton Hayes for scores.
With the score 20-16, Lower Macungie drove the ball to Trojan two-yard line. The Mustangs had a first and goal at the four and could not seal the deal. The Trojan D held tough and stopped the Mustangs at thetwowith 1:30 left in the ball game.
Puckett took over the offense and drove the Trojans 40 yards highlighted by a Jake Johnson 34-yard run. The Trojans then ran out the clock for the victory.
The Trojan D was big all night creating three turnovers. Austin Gardner, Landon Pitts, Gage Fraser, Colton Slivka, Sebastian Suriel and Andrew Lee played tough having many tackles between the bunch. Erik Fernandez also had a interception for the Trojans.

Allentown A's 0
South Parkland controlled the Allentown A's from start to finish by downing the A's 20-0 in a SYFL division matchup.
Dominic Nelson dominated his old team by punishing them with hard running, blocking and tackling. Nelson scorched the A's defense with 137 yards rushing, two touchdowns, an extra point run and one extra point catch from Trojan quarterback Jake Yannes. Nelson also shined on the Trojan defense with nine tackles, a forced fumble and a hurry that resulted in an interception by Erik Fernandez.
Dante Strella also was a big contributor rushing for 83 yards and a score. He also contributed on defense with seven tackles and two sacks.
On the Trojan's first possession, they marched down the field 62 yards on nine plays with the one-two punch of Nelson and Strella. The Trojans second possession was a mirror image of the first as they drove 68 yards culminating in a Strella five-yard run. The Trojans added another score in the second quarter on a Nelson one-yard run and took a 20-0 score in at half time.
In the second half, the Trojans had only two possessions, but they took advantage by slowing the game down and eating clock. The Trojan defense led by Jake Johnson, Shawn Griffin and Zach Ortman completely shutdown the A's offense by holding them to 35 yards total offense sealing the shutout. The Trojans are now 2-0 division play and 2-1 overall.

Allentown A's 0
The SPYA 110-pound A team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 39-0 shutout of the Allentown A's.
The Trojan defense recorded its third straight shutout, holding the A's to one first down and negative four yards of total offense for the game. The defense was led by Asher Reede (five tackles, forced fumble), Trent Perkins (four tackles, fumble recovery), Richard Kerrick (three tackles, fumble recovery), Jack Perkins (three tackles), Nick Johnston (interception), and Tanner Lewis (sack).
The Trojan offense racked up 317 total yards for the game (253 rushing and 64 passing). Trent Perkins opened the scoring for the Trojans with a one-yard touchdown run. George Hlavac converted the point after on a three-yard reception from Vincent Gerbasio.
On the Trojans' next possession, Gerbasio hooked up with Bryan Bertsch on a 21-yard touchdown pass. Gerbasio converted the point after with a three-yard run. The Trojans drove 88 yards on their first possession of the second half, culminating in a four-yard touchdown run by Harper Puckett. Aaron Watson added the point after on a 13-yard reception from Gerbasio. Tanner Lewis scored on the Trojans next possession on a 30 yard touchdown run.
Asher Reede added the Trojans final two scores with touchdown runs from 39 and 31 yards out. Reede led the Trojan ground attack with 82 yards rushing. Gerbasio completed 4-of-5 passes for 64 yards.

Mountainville 0
South Parkland got its first win of the season with a shutout of the Mounties.
On the offense, Michael Boscia scored both touchdows with runs of 36 and 25 yards. Connor George went 3-for-5 passing behind solid blocking from the offensive line.
A strong defensive effort was led by Lucas Farabaugh with two sacks and Dylan Confer with six tackles. An aggressive perfomance by the defensive line, including Kennan Pertraglia, Marc Ramos, Dylan Confer, Jake McLean and TJ Stephens, set the tone for the day.
Emmaus 30,
So. Parkland B 0
It was a tough loss to Emmaus for the South Parkland 95 pound team, falling to Emmaus 30-0.
Depsite a difficult first half, the Trojans fought back to hold the Hornets to only one second half score. Defensively, TJ Stephens had a fumble recovery and Michael Boscia led the team with seven tackles.
Lucas Farabaugh ended the game with a 19-yard run after nearly being stopped in the backfield.
So. Parkland A 26,
Allentown A's 6
The 95-pound Trojans won 26-6 over a fiesty Allentown A's team.
The offense was lead by Cade Clancy with two touchdowns. Jacob Ortman added a touchdown as did Jordan Lewis. Lewis also added an extra two point kick to cap the Trojans' scoring efforts.
Defensively, Jacob Ortman, Brett Cipolla and Cole Kratzer lead the team in tackles. Ortman also broke up a key pass play.
The A's lone score came when they returned a kick off 70 yards for a touchdown.
