Edward B. Cope, 95, of Breinigs-ville, died on Aug. 26, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife, Elizabeth I. (Seddon) Cope were married 62 years.
Born in Frackville, he was the son of the late Elmer G. and Mae (Shirey) Cope.
Before retiring in 1980, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service in the Allentown area and previously at the former Callahan's Tire Recapping.
He was a former member of Seibert Evangelical Congregational Church, Allentown, where he served as president of the Seibert's Men's Class for many years before moving to Florida in the mid-90s.
During World War II, he served as a corporal in the Army Air Force.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Edward T. of Vienna, Va., Richard L., and his wife, Cynthia of Breinigsville; brother George, of Tam-aqua; grandchildren Cobie, Kyra and Jeffrey J. Jr., Angie, Gabe, Josh, Nathan and Reba.
He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey J., in 1989.
His memorial service will be 11 a.m. Sept. 22, in Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St. Allentown. Calling hour is 10-11 a.m.
