Lehigh Gap Nature Center, Slatington, is offering the following speaker series during September at the Osprey House.

·Sept. 16: Gene Odato, who has been a forester for 37 years and currently serves as district forester on the Tuscarora State Forest District, will be discussing "Mountain Lions and Other Seldom Seen Creatures of Pennsylvania" at 4 p.m.

·Sept. 29: Author and Naturalist Scott Weidensaul, who has written more than two dozen books on natural history will discuss his book "Living on the Wind, Across the Hemisphere with The Migrations of Birds," a Pulitzer Prize finalist at 7:30 p.m.

Registration is required to attend. There is a fee for tickets.

·Sept. 30: Rex Lord, Ph.D. will draw on his 40 years of work as a zoologist in 19 South American countries to inspire and educate attendees of all ages on the topic "Following Vampire Bats and Capybaras" at 3 p.m.
