Leon E. Reichard, 69, from Fogelsville, died Aug. 27, 2012, in his home.

He and his wife Nancy E. (Lewis) Reichard celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 21.

Born Nov. 15, 1942, in Lowhill Township, he was the son of the late Paul W. and Eva M. (Derr) Reichard.

He was a dye technician at Packaging Corp. of America, Trexlertown, for 42 years before retiring in 2004.

Since his formal retirement, he worked part time for NAPA Auto Parts, Fogelsville, where he delivered parts.

He was a member of Morgenland Union Church, Orefield.

The Reichard Brothers played blue grass music at various church functions and festivals throughout the area.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by children Randolph L. and his wife, Dawn, at home, Sheila E. Guldin and her husband, James, of Orefield, Keith J. and his wife, Dawn, and Karen L. Reppert and her husband, Richard, all of Fogelsville, Lisa A. Pfeiffly and her husband, Erik of Slatington; brother Mervin J. and his wife, Bonnie, of Schnecksville; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Daniel, Willis and Marvin.
