Catty volleyball fell to Pocono Mountain West in three games, 25-17, 25-12 and 25-16.
In the first game, Catasauqua engaged in a long volley for a 4-3 lead. Mona Dingh became frightening for the Lady Panthers at the net and was several inches taller than Samantha Schnabel.
A rally ensued again and Schnabel and Frederick were most engaged for Catty and made blocks for the Roughs. Net balls and Pocono's big three put Catty away, though.
Coach Arndt addressed the team and told them to call balls better and play with more emotion, since the Panthers fans had the Rough House rocking with cheers.
Catty's Lauren Pluchinsky was like a wall blocking shots, but the Panthers went to using angles on hard shots to find success.
The Roughs were up 7-3 in game two but would fall.
In the third game Catty went down 8-2 until Pluchinsky and a netball got Catty back in the contest, trailing just 12-11.

Catty swept Lehigh Valley Christian School 25-11, 25-15 and 15-12 in what was technically a road match.
Hope Golden came up from playing low to make four kills while adding 13 assists and two aces. Aces were wild in Catty's favor, and kill shots were sharply made.
Catty's bigs, Samantha Schnabel and Lauren Pluchinsky, both fired down kill shots. Schnabel was big at the net with two blocks and registered an ace.
Alissa Frederick led the team with five aces. Pluchinsky and Sabrinna Oliver both had three aces and Oliver made three kills.
