In a Press article (Sept. 6, page 1)about the Aug. 27 Catasauqua council workshop session, it was stated incorrectly that bands are performing at Fossils Last Stand, a Race Street tavern. In fact, in compliance with a Liquor Control Board directive, Fossils discontinued hosting live band performances as of Jan. 1.

Fossils ownership was not represented at the meeting. According to Fossils owner Jackie Harford, the council's discussion of the noise problem was initiated because the tavern's attorney had petitioned the borough to consider taking over supervision of noise complaints.

The Press regrets the error.
