Louis A. Ferioli Jr., 89, of Oceanside, Calif., and formerly of Allentown, died Sept. 8, 2012, in the VA Hospital, San Diego, Calif. He was the husband of the late Helen (Oliver) Ferioli . Born in Springfield, Mass., he was the son of the late Louis A. Sr. and Frieda (Krause) Ferioli.

He served in the United States Army during World War II.

He graduated from Syracuse University in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

He was an engineer for 23 years at Air Products and Chemicals, retiring in 1983.

He is survived by six grandchildren, Jennifer, Raymond, Jesica, DeAnna, Louis and Dana; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Raymond; a daughter, Patricia Dasher; and a sister, Eleanor Schnitzler.
