LaVerne R. "Butch" Ritter Jr., 42, of Emmaus, died Sept. 5, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in Allentown, he was the son of LaVerne R. Ritter Sr. and the late Rachel A. (Hartman) Ritter.

He was a construction worker for many years.

He was a member of Upper Milford Field and Stream.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Ann; son, Cody R. of Emmaus; daughter, Morgan L. of Emmaus; sister, Lori and her husband Michael Miller of Emmaus; nephew, Jonathan R. Miller.
