Gerald F. Grim, 85, formerly of Emmaus, died Sept. 5, 2012, in Phoebe Home. Born in Alburtis, he was the son of the late Fred A. and Helen D. (Heintzelman) Grim.

He was a truck driver for Allentown Beverage for 35 years, retiring in 1990.

He was an active member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, Allentown, having served as church council president and chairman of the Memorial Day Committee.

He honorably served his country in the Army during World War II and Korea.

He was a life member, past commander, chaplain, and service officer of American Legion Post 191, Emmaus. He was also a life member of VFW Post 7008, Emmaus. He was vice president of the Emmaus Veterans Committee. He was a member of Lehigh Lodge #326 F&AM, member of the Scottish Rite, Allentown, Lehigh County Hillbillies, High 12 Club #493, and a Rajah Shriner.

He served as chaplain of Emmaus Fire Co. #1 and Emmaus 4th Alarmers Inc.

He is survived by sisters, Millidine McFadden of Effort and Corrine Brey of Allentown; three nephews.
