Sept. 21: Student in-volvement fair, high school auxiliary gym, 10 a.m. High school students will explore myriad co-curricular activities offered at Parkland.
The high school offers more than 65 after-school clubs as well as 23 sports to complement the academic experience of attending school.

Cora Boyko and Katimae Organist, two high school students, had photographs accepted by Lehigh University for exhibition, Sept. 10-Dec. 9 in the Lehigh Valley Young Photographers Invitational DuBois Gallery, Maginnes Hall, 9 W. Packer Ave., Bethlehem. Reception and gallery talk, from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 28.
The face of photography continues to change, embracing new technologies and ideas.
Digital and chemical photography by public and private high school students is showcased in this invitational exhibition of more than 30 images. Six regional secondary schools are included in the presentation of the work of selected student photographers.
Gallery hours are from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Mondays-Fridays; and 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays.

High school student Megan Chenworth was placed on the U.S. Lacrosse National Academic All American Team for the 2012 season.
Megan is the first Lehigh Valley region female lacrosse player to be recognized for this award.
Playing in goal, she led the Trojans to a 13-5 season with berths in both Lehigh Valley Interscholastic Athletic League play-offs and PIAA District XI championship game.
Megan graduated from Parkland High School in June and is attending Haverford College, Haverford.
While at Parkland, she ranked in the top 2 percent of her class and was a member of the National Honor Society and various other honors organizations.
