Clark K. Hamm, 88, of New Tripoli, died Aug. 30, 2012, at home.
He and his wife, Ethel L. (Reppert) Hamm, were married 63 years in March.
Born in New Tripoli, he was a son of the late Frank and Viola (Kistler) Hamm.
A 1940 graduate of the former Slatington High School, he was a self-employed farmer and excavating contractor in New Tripoli since 1963.
From 1950-63, he worked for his father-in-law, Clayton P. Reppert, as an excavator in Edenburg and drove tractor-trailer freight for Ralph Weaver, Inc. along the Eastern Seaboard until 1950.
A member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli, he was a longtime member of Ebenezer Cemetery Association.
He was a member of the Lynnport Fire Company for 50 years, serving on the fire police crew for many years.
He also was a 50-year member of the Lehigh County Farm Bureau.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Irwin and wife, Marjorie, of New Tripoli, and Alton and his wife, the Rev. MaryAnn of Macungie, sisters Anna Hahn of Schnecksville and Erna Kohler of Kempton; grandchildren Joshua A. Rabert, Nicholas R. and Nathaniel A. Hamm, three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
