Dr. Geoffrey K. Sherman, 51, of Lower Mac-ungie Township, died suddenly. He was the husband of Gretchen K. (Rojas) Sherman. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Patricia (Egan) Sherman, of Allentown, and the late Dr. Robert J. Sherman.

A 1980 graduate of Central Catholic High School, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Saint Mary's College in 1984 and his Master of Arts degree from Kutztown University in 1989. He was inducted into the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists as a Clinical Associate in 1991 and named to the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC) in 1993. He was honored by the Marquis Who's Who Publications Board with a listing in their Who's Who in the East 24th edition for 1993-1994. He received his licensed psychologist degree in 1994 and his licensed professional counselor degree in 2002.

He founded his practice, Cedar Crest Psychological Counseling, P.C. in 1995 and operated it until this death.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

He is survived by his wife; mother; children, Geoffrey K. II, Heather A., Bailey S., Lauren A., all of Center Valley; sisters, Jennifer S. of Haverford, Robin M. Sulivan of Newtown; brother, Brendan J. of Phoenixville; nieces, Brielle, Eliana, Lilia, Amanda, Ella; nephews, Ryan, Andrew, Wil; great nephew, Carter.
