The Catasauqua Thrift Shop will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 4, now filled with fall and winter fashions. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. Donations of good, used clothing are accepted during store hours. Proceeds from the shop are returned to the Catasauqua community through contributions to youth and adult programs and services.

Craft and flea market vendors and businesses are being sought for the sixth annual Best of North Catasauqua Autumnfest and Car Show, planned for Sunday, Oct. 14. The event will be held 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the park. The rain date is Oct. 20. The deadline for reserving a space is Oct. 12.

The event features live music by Flirtin' with the Mob, a food court and car show, an Elmo musical show for children, contests, cooking demos, pumpkin decorating, a health awareness tent, a blood drive, police and fire department displays and demos, rides, a bounce house and a children's craft tent. This annual event is sponsored by the North Catasauqua Betterment Committee.
