Barbara Anne Bokan
Barbara Anne (Archer) Bokan of Fogelsville, died Aug. 26, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She was 70 years old.
Born on Aug. 9, 1942, in Philadelphia, she was raised in Haddonfield, N.J., and Allentown.
She was the daughter of the late William E. and Antoinette (Linder) Archer.
She graduated from Parkland High in 1960, and attended St. Joseph's College, Emmitsburg, Md.
She was employed by Tiffany of Philadelphia in sales.
She was currently a pharmacy tech at Rite Aid.
A lover of opera, and a history and literary buff, she was an active member of the Haddonfield, N.J. book-of-the-month review club.
She was an excellent cook, loved flowers, and enjoyed traveling and golf.
She was proud to have been a lifelong Democrat.
Her survivors include sons Andrew and wife, Mandy, of Ft. Myers, Fla., Dan and wife, Sherry, of Shelburne, Vt., and Rick and wife, Jean, of Burlington, Vt.; significant other and life partner Paul Heintzelman of Fogelsville; brother George Archer of Fountain Valley, Calif.; and grandchildren Dylan, Justin, Will and Sarah.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Aug. 30 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown.
Visitation will be 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at Keller Funeral Homes Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville, and 9-10 a.m. at the church.
Her interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Road, Yeadon.
