John Francis Costello, 81, of Macun-gie, died August 19, 2012, at Gracedale, Nazareth. He was the husband of the late Mary Lou (Fitzgerald) Costello. He was born in Jersey City, N.J.

He was a graduate of Notre Dame University and Notre Dame School of Law. He was a corporate attorney for Bank of America and Chrysler First until retiring.

He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of the Lehigh Valley Alumni Association of the University of Notre Dame.

He was a member and a communion minister at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.

He is survived by children, John, Maureen and Thomas; granddaughter, Victoria; brother, Robert; sister, Maureen Gallagher.
