James R. Haines Jr. 59, of Brockton, formerly of Allentown, died Aug. 18, 2012, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born Oct. 15, 1952, in Easton, he was the son of the late James R. Haines Sr. and Peggy J. (Buchman) Wagner.

He was a self-employed construction contractor in Lehigh and Carbon counties.

His survivors include his significant other, Patty Hainley; sons Robert S. and Jason C. and his wife, Rachel, all of Palmerton, Joshua A. and his wife, Rachel, of Reading; sister Ruth Wagner of Wisconsin; and grandchildren Justin, Abigail, Logan and Jackson.

He was predeceased by a sister, Debra McGee.

His memorial service will take place 1 p.m. Aug. 24, in Bethany Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 Seventh St., Whitehall, with Pastor Timothy J. Schmoyer officiating.

Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Friday in the church.
