Joan M. Tunitis, 83, of Macungie, died August 18, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of J. Edmund Tunitis. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Catherine (Cavanaugh) McCormick.

She was a graduate of Immaculata College.

She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by her husband; children, Joseph, Susan Liberi, Joan Brofft, Jeannette Berean, John and Thomas; sister, Sr. Theresa Marian, IHM; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Contributions may be made to the church, 415 S. 6th St., Emmaus, 18049.

A memorial Mass will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus. Friends and family may call Thursday 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
