William T. Ettl, 78, Catasauqua, died Aug. 9, 2012, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of Loretta Mae (Siegfried) Ettl.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Francis V. and Frances Ida (Miller) Ettl.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He worked at Western Electric for many years before retiring.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Whitehall where he played dart baseball for many years.

He was a member of the Fullerton American Legion and the Telephone Pioneers.

In addition to his wife, he is survived a son, Lester and wife Linda of Catasauqua; a brother, Thomas W. Ettl; a sister, Nancy; and two grandchildren, Lindsay and Lucas.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Jimmy; and two sisters, Mary Jane and Betty.

Calling hours are from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Aug. 18 at Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., Catasauqua.
