This month's meeting of St. Andrew's Young at Heart will be held Wednesday, Aug. 22, in the church basement.

The group's casino trip to Mohegan Sun will be Friday, Aug. 31. Seats are still available for this bus trip.

On Oct. 3, a trip to Ace in the Hole Dinner Theater to see 'Winderbar" is planned and on Wednesday, Dec. 5 they will be going to the Rainbow Dinner Theater for a show called "Christmas in Paradise." The Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., Catasauqua, is having a half-price sale through Aug. 25. After the sale, the shop will close for housecleaning and will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 4, with new clothing for fall and winter.

Proceeds from the thrift shop are returned to the Catasauqua community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.

Donations of good, used, clean clothing are accepted during shop hours, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Treat yourself and help others all in one stop Saturday, Aug. 25, when the Porter Masonic Lodge hosts a rummage sale, open house and blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The lodge is located at 1103 Sixth St., next to the borough park.
