Robert L. "Whiskey" Reimer, 73, of Wescosville, formerly of Northampton, died August 4, 2012, in his home surrounded by his loving family, after a battle with lung cancer. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Fritts) Reimer. They would have celebrated 48 years of marriage in November. Born in Cherryville, he was the son of the late Lester A. and Esther M. (Shover) Reimer.

He was a 1957 graduate of Northampton Area High School. He was well known in the Lehigh Valley for his excellence on the baseball and football fields.

He served two years in the U.S. Army before joining Mack Trucks Inc. for the next 34 years.

After his love for his family, his biggest passion was fishing. He was a member of the Blue Mountain Bass Masters fishing club, serving as club treasurer. He was a member of Lehigh Township Historical Society and a lifetime member of the Fullerton Fire Company.

He was a former member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Northampton.

He is survived by his wife; son, Jason and his wife Renee, of Camp Hill; daughter, Beth of Morton; sister, Linda Ott, of Flagstaff, Ariz.; brother-in-law, Cecil Fritts Jr., and his wife Mary of Huntington, sister-in-law, Catherine Heffner, of Catasauqua; many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Richard Reimer.
