Jean B. Acker, 70, of Emmaus, died August 5, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospice Unit. She was the wife of David E. Acker. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 9, 2012. Born in Macungie, she ws the daughter of the late T.A. Richard and May L. (Reinhard) Glass.

She worked as an accounts payable clerk, secretary for a CPA firm, secretary for Emmaus Ford, and worked in accounts payable for Penn Foam last working in 2011.

She is survived by her husband; stepbrother, Mark W. Reynolds and his wife Linda, of Macungie and half brother, David R. Glass, of Fleetwood; half sister, Joan Carol Glass and her husband Christian Kazanecki, of Martins Creek; nieces and nephews; beloved dog, Bentley.

Contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice or the Lehigh County Humane Society.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. The Schantz Funeral Home, P.C. Emmaus is handling arrangements.
