George Feninez, 88, of Emmaus, died July 30, 2012, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home. He was the husband of Althea Sara (Bartholomew) Feninez. They were married 63 years last Dec. 11. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Wellas) Feninez.

He served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II, was a founding member and first commander of the Macungie Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a member of the American Legion, Allentown.

Prior to retiring, he was employed by Exide Battery Co., and formerly the Macungie Foundry where he worked as a moulder.

He was a member of Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Patricia, of Emmaus; and two brothers, Frank, of Allentown, and Stephen, of Hereford.

He was predeceased by a son, Michael George.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the David J. Boyko Funeral Home, Macungie.
