Barbecue, cabbage and noodles will be served at a church dinner on Thursday, Aug. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m., at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. The church's altar guild is hosting.

St. Andrew's is located at 1900 E. Pennsylvania, Ave., Allentown (between Allentown and Bethlehem in Hanover Township, just off Catasauqua Road).

The Hanover Township Council meets the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 7:30 p.m., at the township building on the corner of Grove and Airport roads. The public is always encouraged to attend these meetings. The next one is Wednesday, Aug. 15.
