Window damaged

A resident of the unit block of North Third Street reported to Coplay Police Aug. 3 that someone threw a landscaping rock through the window of her front storm door.

The resident told police she was watching a program on TV when she heard a crashing sound. Responding to the noise, Molchany said she got up and looked outside but did not see anyone. The rock that had been thrown had been in her front yard, police said.

Police are investigating.

Camper wire cut

A resident of the unit block of South Second Street informed borough police on the evening of July 31 that he found a 30-amp camper wire unplugged from an outside receptacle and the wire cut.

The resident said he believes the person or persons responsible for the incident were looking for copper to sell to a scrap yard. He reported seeing the plug intact early Saturday morning, police said.

Police respond

to alarm

Coplay police and borough firefighters responded to a call July 31 at the home in the unit block of North Second Street.

On arrival, police were told the carbon monoxide alarm had gone off. Borough fire department personnel on the scene were unable to discover any issues relating to carbon monoxide, police said.

The alarm malfunctioned, police said.
