Also, Fernald and the following other local residents obtained a GPA of 3.4 during the spring 2012 semester at Wilkes University, and was named to the dean's list:

Shoshanna Goldin of Allentown was among 1,900 Wake Forest University students who qualified for the school's spring 2012 dean's list.

Darren Lorah, a 2011 graduate of Parkland High School, qualified for West Virginia University's dean's honor list for the spring 2012 semester.

Morgan E. Snyder of Germansville graduated summa cum laude from Albright College at the school's 153rd commencement ceremony May 20.
Snyder received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and elementary, early childhood and special education.

Chelsea Ritter, a native of New Tripoli and graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, was recently named to Waynesburg University's dean's list for her academic achievements in the spring 2012 semester.
Ritter is a rising senior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
