Parkland alum

graduates

Cadet Sean Patrick Hutchison graduated from West Point, the U.S. Military Academy, at the school's May 26 commencement ceremony.

A 2008 graduate of Parkland High School, Hutchison studied environmental engineering.

He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the engineers branch and will report to Fort Drum, N.Y. for his first assignment.

He is the son of John and Christine Hutchison.

The mission of the U.S. Military Academy is to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets so each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of duty, honor, country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the nation as an officer in the United States Army.
