Students join national society

Kutztown

St. Mary’s

Kaitlyn Heintzelman of Schnecksville earned dean’s list honors for the fall 2017 semester at Mount St. Mary’s University, Emmitsburg, Md.

Kutztown

The following students were inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success at Kutztown University, Kutztown.

Allentown: Benjamin Best, Maxwell Krug, Cheyenne Rossanese, and Darian Urbay;

Fogelsville: Ralla Roth;

Kutztown: Lucrezia Di Fabrizio, Patrick Eigenbrod, David Nunez, Joycelyn Parker, and Jessica Schwindenhammer;

Neffs: Elizabeth Fryling, and Arielle Gremling; and

Schnecksville: Hillary Herczeg.

The society is the nation’s largest leadership honor society.

Students are selected by their college for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential.

Grove City

Julie Long, a junior, and Hannah Miner, a sophomore, were named to the dean’s list with high distinction for the fall 2017 semester at Grove City College, Grove City.

Long, a 2015 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, is the daughter of Perry and Elisabeth Long of New Tripoli.

Miner, a 2016 home school graduate, is the daughter of Marc and Laura Miner of Allentown.

Students eligible for the dean’s list have a grade-point average of 3.40 to 3.59; for the dean’s list with distinction a grade-point average of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the dean’s list with high distinction a grade-point average of 3.85 to 4.0.

C. Carolina

Sydney Lutz, of Schnecksville, a biology major, was among 2,419 students who were named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C.

To qualify for the dean’s list, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade-point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade-point average. All students must be enrolled full time.

William, Mary

Sarah Segan of Fogelsville, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va.

To achieve dean’s list status, a full-time degree seeking undergraduate student must take at least 12 credit hours and earn a 3.6 quality point average during the semester.

U. Delaware

The following students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at the University of Delaware, Newark, Del.

Allentown: Ana Haddad, Megan Pacitti, and Kristen Tauber;

Fogelsville: Sean-Hee O’Connor;

Germansville: Troy Fedirko and Samuel Haas;

Kutztown: Stephanie Billig;

New Tripoli: Evan Hufnagle, and

Schnecksville: Ryan Terrell.

To meet eligibility requirements for the dean’s list, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a grade-point average of 3.33 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester.
