Edwin R. Snyder Sr., 81, of Macungie, died Oct. 22, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Erb) Snyder for 58 years this past April. Born in Lehigh County, he was a son of the late Eldred and Hulda (Gangaway) Snyder Sr.

He was a truck driver and laborer in Weisenberg Township for 15 years.

He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Trexlertown.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army Air Force during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Donald J. and his wife Tonya, of Pittsburgh; Edwin Jr. and his wife Cindy, of New Tripoli; daughter, Brenda L. and her husband David Sadrovitz, of Macungie; stepson, Karl Greiss and companion Wendy, of Hagerstown, Md., stepdaughter, Mary Lou LeVan, of Birdsboro; brothers, Eldred Jr., of Fleetwood and Larry; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. Oct. 27 at the Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville. Visitation will be held 9:30 to 11 a.m. Oct. 27.
