J. Paul Eckel, 73, of Emmaus, died Dec. 12, 2014. He was the husband of Alina A. Lukasiewicz) Eckel. Born in Jersey Shore, he was the son of the late John and Kathryn (Poust) Eckel.

He was a supervisor at Jones New York. He then was co-owner and president for Krysia Fashions, Bristol.

He is survived by his wife; children, Teresa and her husband Frank Bonfield, Jeff, Brenda, John Piszczek, Krysia and her husband Adam Krzos, Basia Tummarello; brothers, John and his wife Marva, Ken and his wife Gladys; sister, Sue and her husband Mike Starke; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Mark Piszczek and a sister, Sandra Holter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 19 in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus. A viewing will be held 9 to 10:15 a.m. followed by a brief service in Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
