The Vivaldi Project performs, 4 p.m. Sept. 8, Old Chapel, Central Moravian Church, Main and Church streets, Bethlehem. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

Members of the Vivaldi Project are Elizabeth Field, violin; Allison Edberg Nyquist, violin and viola, and Stephanie Vial, cello.

The “Chamber Music in the Chapel Series” program includes string trio works found only in the Moravian Archives: “Trio in B-flat minor,” by Johann Ignaz Klauseck (c. 1720 - c. 1775) and “Trio in C Major,” by Leopold Hofmann (1738-1793).

Other works on the first half of the concert: “Sonata in G major,” B. 37, by Johann Christian Bach (1735-1782); “Trio Op. 2, No. 3 in D Major,” by Francesco Zannetti (1737-1788) and “Trio II in D minor,” by John Antes (1740-1811), a Pennsylvania-born Moravian composer.

The second half of the concert includes early waltzes by Ludwig van Beethoven, written for La Redoute music hall, near Bonn.

Founded in 2007, the Vivaldi Project is a period instrument ensemble presenting baroque and classical string repertoire. It takes its name from violinist and composer Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741).
